How do I make money with facebook?

There are a lot of different methods out there but if you’re a beginner and don’t own an existing business and don’t want to get into the whole buying and selling of media, then this explanation is for you.

The only way to make money online is by having traffic. You don’t need to worry about all of the specifics like targeting and figuring out special types of traffic, you just need traffic. Once you have traffic, you need ads to “monetize” that traffic and turn it into money.

Getting the traffic. I’m going to suggest something pretty generic but feel free to get creative and find a way to attract people to your page. You want to setup a page on Facebook, not your normal profile but a page where you can get followers. An actual page, you can figure out how to do that pretty easily. Then you want to choose a topic that people will be interested in. It can be pretty much anything but I’m going to use funny images as the example topic.

Next, you want to populate your page with content. That means, for your funny picture page, you want to put up a lot of funny photos. The better your content, the more people will want to follow you. Once you have all of your content, you want to start inviting people and spreading the word on your page. You can do this for free or by spending a few dollars, you don’t need much, to advertiser your post so that people can see it.

If you advertise, you want to pay per “engagement”. Also, remember to use your absolute best content for any advertisements. Don’t worry too much about who to target but use your best common sense. So if its something only men would like then target them when you advertise or if it’s for women, target women. If its for younger crowds, set the age criteria and so on. Same thing for countries, if its something specific to certain countries, only target them (language can be a consideration). If you don’t advertise, it will take longer and more elbow grease but carefully spread the word by sharing your post on other pages, engaging people and posting in different places and getting the word out. Do it right, don’t just go SPAMMING – ever. That’s not good and you’ll get in trouble.

Now that you have content and are updating it everyday with a handful of new posts. You want to make some money from it or “monetize”. For premium content, if we’re talking about a funny photo page, I would either create a zip file of 100 hilarious photos or maybe get a compilation video up on youtube. You then link to either one from your page and anyone wanting access will need to fill out a quick survey or download an app. When they do, you make money.

The more work you put in, the more money you make since more traffic and followers means more people filling out these surveys or downloading apps and more money for you.
